After the winter the water from melted snow keeps the forest wet for many weeks.
In some parts it is difficult to go. Not so much for deer or bison, but the more for man.

The season of spring starts remarkably later than in more western areas.
It can easily be observed by the dates of flowering of such appealing plants like the white anomene, Anemone nemorosa, flowering
many weeks after well developed forests more situatied much closer to the Atlantic ocean.

The beauty of the forest in spring is obvious.
The birds are singing. Golden oriole... Grey headed woodpecker... Cranes... Finches... and again Golden oriole! He'll never stop!
Century old oaks unfold their fresh leaves with enviable souplesse.
The forest floor is coloured whereever possibly - blue, white, yellow, purple, green - and we are free to witness the flowers overwhelming joy in life.

Don't forget your raincoat, it is time for new adventures in Bialowieza...
