For me personally winter in Poland is rather cold and strong, especially in the east of the country.
As a Dutchman I am not used to temperatures at daytime much below zero. In eastern Poland longer periods of frost up to -10 celcius
are quite normal. Snow lasts even in low situated parts of the country for some 90 days. In Holland? Ten days, on average.

Below my photographical 'harvest' from a one week stay in Kamienski - Wiktory, an utterly small village in the northeast of Poland,
on some distance of the regional capital Bialystok. Beside the freezing cold I also witnessed Christmas and many of its Polish traditions locally.

So, put on your shawl and your gloves and have a look!
